Default Laptop connected 2 AVIC D2-picture is unclear. How 2 fix it?

I bought "PC to TV converter" (Converter SA235). It turns VGA signal from laptop into AV video signal.

I connected laptop (VGN-TZ150N) with Pioneer AVIC D2 & tried different resolutions. But picture is unclear.

Any ideas how to fix it or other ways to make AVIC2 display info from laptop?

I don't think u can. Computers aren't really made to be hooked up to a tv. If u ever hook up a computer to a regular tv, the picture will always be unclear.

Did you try the lowest resolution the laptop will let you run?

When I've hooked computers up to TVs in the past via composite video cable or S-video, it usually looked like crap.

What would be awesome is if all these double DIN stereos had DVI or HDMI video inputs and high resolution screens.

can you set the laptop up and run the avic as a second screen? it may let you drop it down to 640x480 at that point.

S-Video operates at 480i, so you're going to have to lower your laptop resolution down to 640x480 in order to get a non-crappy picture.
