going to go out and try to get some on monday..but was just curious if anyone knew if our coolant comes premixed...or if ill have to mix it myself...

also it was right at the low line when the car was cold...that is when im supposed to be checking right...not when its hot? if someone could clarify that would be great....

We have special long-life coolant. Talk to Scion/Toyota service to get the same stuff; don't try to buy anything off-the-shelf at a generic auto parts store.

The Toyota pre-mixed long life coolant is what you want. It is pink, not orange. You can get it at your Toyota/Scion dealer. Don't try to use anything else.

i got a B&G coolant flush, it runs fine, just the coolant is green, no big deal, it doesn't have to be toyota's pink long life stuff.

That would of ben great!!! Only if I knew. I used bottled water, took quarter of the bottle to bring it to full line.

Ahh, bottled water should be too much of a problem, as long as its not those cheesy "minerals added" ones. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Next time you know.

The Toyota pink coolant is good for 100,000 miles. There is no need to flush it out and replace it before then, unless you have some kind of radiator problem.

Copied and pasted this from the web:

Genuine Toyota Long Life Antifreeze Coolant, with its distinctive red appearance, provides maximum protection without the use of harmful silicates. This formula is extremely durable and because of its compatibility with non-metallic materials, it helps extend the life of water pump seals.
Genuine Toyota Long Life Antifreeze Coolant is the same high quality red fluid that's found in all new Toyotas. Its unique formulation was developed exclusively to meet the specific requirements of your Toyota engine. Other benefits to using Toyota Long Life Antifreeze Coolant are:
• Will not clog radiators from silicone "gelling."
• Will not corrode aluminum surfaces like coolants that contain borate.
• Helps protect water pump seals.
