How do I raise my sticky tein basiks?
So during the Spring I installed some tein basics and now i would like to raise them. My fronts weren't bad at all, but my rears are a pain in the a$$. I'm using an 18" long breaker wrench and the typical spanner. I've been wrenching for about 1.5 hours getting 1-2 mm a time and now it seems my last one is almost to the point where it is stuck... I've been using WD40, PB buster, white lithium grease and lots of muscle. Is there a trick anybody uses???? Can I prevent this from happening by covering my coilover with something??
When you installed them the first time you SHOULD of lubed them up, preventing locking up, and squeeks.
But I know the issue you are going to, just make sure that the two rings are not turning together. After that lower it enough to where the spring comes off of the rubber seal. Once this happens spray grease under, and on top of the plastic ring. Do this for the upper rubber ring too. One of the causes of this is that the spring isn't able to slide over the rubber for you to turn it.
This should take care of it, if this doesn't fix this I would take the coilover off and take it apart. Clean everything off with brake cleaner, take a soft wire brush to the threads to get rid of any grime. Once everything is all shiny spray grease everywhere.

dont use brake cleaner it will not help, spray lots of wd and use a wire brush, i can guarantee you have rocks stuck in the treads, use the wire brush to clean them out and then do like dr isotope said and brush some antiseize on them
