I didn't know that the XB came with a leather interior option. But I was very happy about it so I decided to get it. Now I have some monitors that I want to install in the headrest too. I'm not doing it myself but I was wondering if was any harder to have them installed into a leather setting vice a cloth one. I don't want them to ruin or cut anymore leather than they have to. Some advice please!

It's not any more difficult other than maybe being harder to cut the opening.

It's basically the same install. The only difference is, instead of cutting cloth they are cutting leather. It's the same kind of install, with the same difficulty factor.

I didnt know that you could get leather.. I thought you had to get that on your own from an upholsterer.

its not a SCION option .. its a DEALER (where you bought the car) .. option. they outsource it to a local upholsterer or get a katzkin kit and have that put on

yeah here in hawaii that option was first offered with this nice big scion logo right dead in the center of the seat. but i'm lucky the leather i had put in is all black with no scion logo. now it looks more like an after market install. as for the headrests i ended up cutting mine. cause the options for pre fab ones at the time only came with material and were a little too big for my taste and that would not look nice the whole seat all leather and the headrest material. just my 1 cent.
