Just a random question...so I'll just throw it out there.


I wanted to sell my TC or trade it in for an XB (04-07 models). I owe about $16,800 on it with 38K miles. We have a new addition to the family (baby girl) and need a bigger car. I wanted to get an XB.

My question is....im financed by Toyota Motor Credit. Could somebody take over my payments on the TC? For instance, let's say the person owns a XB and it is paid off. He decides he wants a TC, could he trade me his XB and take over my payments? I DO NOT KNOW if im making much sense. Any other suggestions to consider?

 

I would keep it until you pay it down some more. No one is going to want to pay 16,800 for an 06 tc with 38,xxx miles. You could get a brand new 09 with 0 miles for a couple hundred dollars more.

it sounds like you didn't put very much down at all and could very well be 'upside' down in the payments. i'd wait it out for at least a year if you can.

I guess you guys are right. I was going to take my income tax refund and apply the whole amount to my car.
