Has anyone out there put the spacer shims on the rear of their xB? I like the looks of the kit from onetongarage.com but i'm not sure if it's really worth it or if it's even safe. I've also seen the spacers that require longer studs and i hate the thought of those even though many cars and trucks have them. I just want a sportier look by pushing the rear wheels flush w/the fenders. If you have tried these let me know they work.

Van's spacers are safe. I know peeps that have been running them for as long as Van first introduced them. The OTG spacers are first rate quality, and as good as, or better than, the spacers found in Japan.

i'm runnin em and i love em. nothing like pushin those rear tires where they belong.

you will only get into trouble of the modifcation you did was the cause of the broken or damaged part.

I have had them installed for over 6 months and about 8 K miles, and no problems. Chances are the dealer wouldnt even know what they were, even if he did find them on your box.

shims are awesome. 8 months and 20k.

does anyone know of the correct studs to use however, if running a 10mm spacer? i thought i read somewhere on this forum that there were studs from toyota that would work. i tried looking for the thread but the search function sucks here.

I'm running the OneTonGarage rear hub spacers and I'm completely confident in their safety. The kit actually spaces the hubs out from the rearend & widens the track width 10mm (about 3/8") on each side. I could add the wheels spacers too, If I wanted.
I've dealt with wheel spacers before and OneTon's are some of the safest that I've seen. Billet aluminum is rather strong & their fit appears to be precise. A tight fit is rather important in this situation.
I highly recomend the hub kit that I'm running. Install took about 20 minutes and it only set me back $60. Chump change!8)
