Default E-man. Problem

My emanagment wont connect with my laptop?.. Any ideas?

good ques im having the same problem!!!! i heard its a software issue.... but any help would be appreciated!!

alright question for you.. lol is your active led flashing green alone with the other flashing that amber color?

i have a full pnp harness for car and for the computer.. it was.. just wouldnt connect.

theres steps....try leaving the car off then plug in ur laptop and then open the emanage software and then turn the key to the on position...if thats doesnt work then go to communication tab and select the differen com ports until it says online on the bottom right

Change the COM ports to see if that will connect. You ARE using the Serial to USB cable right not a USB to USB?

Yeah, read that in the manual. My laptop does not support the old **** Serial connection protocol, so for those that don't have that, you have to buy a cable from Radio Shack or equivalent electronic store, that converts the serial back to USB.

yeah i bought the cable at staples. I tryed changing the Comm. but with the car started. Ill try again with it just on. Thank you

ok do this step by step.....laptop on.....car off key out....plug emanage into computer.....on computer open emanage software, after it loads then put key in car and turn to the on position...it should connect that way

yeah im going to try it again on thursday.. i dont have time tomorrow.. do you know why the active led would be flashing and why the other one would be flashing too?

Drivers for the cable installed also? Sounds like a dumb question, but just covering all basis.
