Ok, then lets look at your Laptop. Some have been known to not work with the software. Your not running CRAPISTA are you (Vista)?

Well...for SOME things..

 

i have a mac, but i was trying do use my friends dell that has vista.

 

^^Vista has been known to have problems with the GReedy software.

 

i dont think i have another computer with anything else..

 

You might want to join the Emanage support crew then to see if there is a Vista remedy.

 

i use vista with no problem with the emanage....

 

Could be a combination of the OS and laptop.

 

Try using a different serial to USB adapter like IO GEAR works great!

 

so i tried again using the information everyone gave me, and the problem is the driver will not install. I connected the wire to the eman. and computer, rolled key on.. and the Yellow LED on eman lit up solid, but then it said could not install driver.. should i just try a diff laptop? any ideas? Thanks everyeone

 

The dirver for the Serial back to USB cable? You could try a different laptop, but try a different brand cable first.
