View Full Version : Bigger rotors?
jdubb123 12-30-2008, 06:07 AM I don't know a lot about bigger brake kits but is it possible to get slightly bigger cross drilled rotors with stock calipers? I want to get rims soon and i think stock tiny rotors look horrible on bigger wheels without a big brake kit, but i just want to get the rotors for now.
So just want to know if its possible.

davedavetC 12-30-2008, 06:27 AM what do you mean it doesnt help?
you asked for larger then stock rotors w/o goin intoa bbk
powerslot plus rotors are bigger then stock and include brackets to move the stock caliper out

Oh sorry i thought you were just one of those guys that says one word and doesnt give any other information :P
Does powerslot sell drilled and slotted rotors? Any other companies sell rotors kits like powerslot?
KrazyAznScion 12-30-2008, 06:38 AM just get slotted, no need for drilled

i personally dont think so.. but yea.. just get slotted, if drilled as well you run a higher risk of warp/cracking.. its just me cuz i prefer performance over looks..

Yeah thats true,,, well i looked at powerslot rotors but they dont make that goldish bronze color rotor and i wanted that because im getting bronze rims soon so do you know where i can find something like that?
KrazyAznScion 12-30-2008, 06:54 AM contact brembo, im pretty sure you can custom zinc coated rotors without upgrading calipers... just make calls and im pretty sure you're bound to find one that will make one and fit, i've seen willwoods, rotoras, and vise versa on stock wheels...

Yeah im also looking not to spend 500 bucks on custom rotors though lol Then i would just get a whole kit.
Is there a certain diameter rotor or something that it has to be to kit the stock caliper?
Cuse if i knew what size i would have to do i can search around a little easier
KrazyAznScion 12-30-2008, 07:03 AM the only one/two "bigger" rotors i've seen fit stock wheels with kit is the powerslot ( size already figured to fit stock wheel) and a baller slot pattern on a rotora/wilwood rotor if you want a cool lookin slot pattern... google/search it..

Thats the plan just wanted some info so i could make a thorough search
Thanks for the help
Oh and i should just stick with the same dimensions as the powerslot rotors to ensure a good fitment right

yea, i'd suggest you stick to powerslot plus dimensions.. that way you're sure that it fits..
Ro_Ja 12-30-2008, 07:18 AM Why would you even want larger rotors than what Powerslot sells? Bigger doesn't always mean better.
Rockztar 12-30-2008, 07:18 AM contact brembo, im pretty sure you can custom zinc coated rotors without upgrading calipers... just make calls and im pretty sure you're bound to find one that will make one and fit, i've seen willwoods, rotoras, and vise versa on stock wheels...
i think he wants to keep the stock calipers and upgrage to larger rotors. idk if thats possible, but i think that is what he's asking

^^ Yup i dont want larger rotors that powerslots just other rotors that will fit like powerslots
KrazyAznScion 12-30-2008, 07:24 AM im pretty sure i never said anything about rotors larger than powerslots...
he's askin for bigger rotors than stock without goin bbk, and he wants one that is coated to look bronze or what not.. so i recommended to make calls and look for some other larger than stock rotors...
never said anything bout goi bigger than powerslot..
Ro_Ja 12-30-2008, 12:45 PM Oh, ok. It was late and I guess I misinterpreted what he wants. Well anyway, PowerSlot is the only good option for aftermarket rotors without a big brake kit.

You could just buy my PowerSlot Plus Rears + Agency Power SS Lines + Axxis Ultimate Pads :lalala:

The outer rim where the slots are are silver now...its black in that picture because it was before I bedded the brakes in.
