I've done some fast as possible shifts and never had an issue, the engine seems to drop in rev's really fast so it doesn't grind... this is both before and after putting on a weighted shift knob (I dunno, just saying) and I think we've discovered that the xA may already have the short throw shift kit by necessity. Without it the shifter would run smack into the console

the quick shift is nice but you can only appreciate it after driving stock for like 2 weeks. its a big difference if you know the car but to others, they couldn't tell

for some reason tho, my clutch is doing that grinding thing more often like i let the clutch out too fast. even when i shift fast as hell it's getting sloppier

mine was rough for the first couple hundred miles, i'm at 1900 miles and it shifts smooth now. i also have a shortened shifter so that may make a difference.

cant say that im any where close to good at shifting, its probably that which i have had the most trouble with in driving, period.
I thot it was the all the gearing... or the clutching, or, some fault of the car...
**good ol "Blameless Society" America** gotta love it... :P
But no.. there is definitely something about driving it cold, 2nd gear is a pain,
however once its warmed up (which sometimes mine never gets in the 0.8 mile commute i have), it shifts fine... provided the Dr. Pepper isnt sweating

I hate it.

I adjusted my shifting style, so it's better now.

But i still hate it.
