Default Alignment question

So i got my htechs in and im putting them in tomorrow.
Now i know you need an alignment done after 3 or 4 weeks. I called my dealership and they said i get 1 free alignment to 1 year or 20,000 miles if the alignments off. (im under both) SO i was thinking what if they dont give me the free alignment cuse of the springs. so i thought well i need an alignment already what if i take some pictures of my steering wheel to show that its off and my stock springs on the car to show that i already needed it.

Do you think this would be a good back up plan if they say they wont do it because i put on new springs?

idk i doubt a dealership will grant this free alignment due to the new springs weather your stock springs needed it or not....Take it to a shop and get it done its not that bad, but im sure the dealer will charge you more than a shop with an alignment rack

dude, don't be a little B!tch. the warranty on your alignment is incase they did something wrong and your alignment needs to be fixed. but if your lowering your car, you are creating a reason for your alignment to need to be redone.

now if your alignment is already off, and you have one free alignment or whatever owed to you, then take your car in on its stock springs, get an alignment check, and a print out of what it comes out as, showing that it is off, and that you are owed one free realignment, and ask them if you can have it done after you installed some lowering springs anyway, killing two birds with one stone.

i know people call them stealerships and such, but they are people there too, and they are a business, and trust me, if you go in there and try and scam them, they won't appreciate your business, but if your honest and such, they will be more inclined to help you.

don't lie, don't try to trick people, be honest, be nice and do good business.

Firestone shops have a lifetime allignment. I think I paid around $140. A standard allignment around here runs about $70. So for the price of two allignments, I take my car in every other month just to have them check. So you don't ever have to pay anything after the first time, and it lasts for as long as you own your car. Great deal.
