Default 19 inch rims and lowering

i found some 19inch rims on craigslist and i want to lower my car as well but i figure if i do that it would rub severely. so i decided to come here and ask the experts

thanks a lot, i was thinking about dropping it but then i talked to my friend and with a 19inch rim like that it would take away al l the gap between the body and wheel, thanks for your help

That's what you want - no gap! Here's mine with TRD 19s, and Hotchkis springs. Second pic is on 18s.
As that chart shows you, offset and tire size are the most important factors in determining if you'll rub, depending on how severe the drop is. You can go with a mild drop (like TRD springs) and not have any rubbing issues at all, if that's your main concern.
But by all means, drop it - almost everyone on here will tell you that should be one of the first mods on your list. The tC looks so much better dropped - stock looks like a 4 X 4.

your on hotchkis? it looks way to low on the rear.
