first of all, let me start by saying that i searched on h&r springs and i could not find anything relevant to them.

second, i was wondering if anybody has them on their tc? how do they handle? anybody with pictures of how the car sits?

the reason i ask is because i hate the way my TRD's sit. they sit low in the rear and high in the front. the h&r springs sit 1.3 rear and 1.4 in the front. i want a subtle drop and is why i went TRD, but im just very dissapointed with the result.

any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

i personally wouldn't bother for .1-.2 of an inch drop...

not so much the difference in drop. i chose the h&r from the buyers guide section because its very similar to the TRD drop in inches. what im looking for is a spring that will give me a higher drop in the rear and a lower drop in the front, not the opposite, which is what the TRD's gave me. just wondering if these h&r will give me what im looking for without going as low as h techs.

TRDs should be even around all 4 corners. I'm not sure why the rear would appear lower unless they've somehow managed to settle a lot. I have the H&R Sport and to me, they look very even to me and the car appears to sit really level, if not a TINY bit lower in the front.

I'm definitely happy with them, but I really don't know if they'd be worth switching to from the TRD. Even though the numbers are technically different, you may not end up noticing the change you're looking for. So unless you really have money to burn or REALLY want to see if it will help, don't bother.

^^ you can use the stock sturts safely with h&r right? and after alighnment nothing should be off right ?

Yes, you can use the OEM struts. It may shorten their life... but probably not by much.

As for alignment... it would be recommended that you get an alignment done a coupe weeks after the install. That will give them some time to settle if they are going to. But definitely get an alignment afterwards.

Should have, as long as it's aligned to specs.

I have the TRD's now and they are sagging like grandma's boobs, even the left rear is lower than the right rear. Sucks! I have spoken to a few people and they say that happened to them to. I trusted TRD... Whatever!

So I'm really thinking about the H&R Sport. I called H&R today and asked about the spring rate for the Race springs and they told me it was 205 in the front and 415 in the rear. I forgot what the TRD's are 309 or 390in the rear?? They said it is better for me to get the Sport cuz my Tc is a daily driver and it always will be. The reason I asked about the Race is because, looking at the drop in inches, there is a guarantee that the back will be a little higher than the front and that is what I am looking for.

Aren't the TRD's just H&R's rebadged anyways? I have TRD's and the body line of the car sits level to the ground but the wheel gap is much bigger in the front. It just appears to sit nose high but the car is actually level. I'm gonna get the Raceland coilovers because they're cheap and you can adjust ride height. I don't need them for performance as much as appearance. Nor will I be slamming the car. Just a subtle leveling of the wheel gaps. I've heard some really good reviews of the Racelands so far. Less than 300 bucks for coil-overs is a bargain! It's worth trying the "get what you pay for" theory in my book.
