Hi guys and gals!

For those of you that have any type of vinyl (particularly graphic film, such as 3M Controltac Graphic Film) on your Scion, how does it withstand the extreme heat of the desert? Does it bubble or start to peel off when it gets really hot?
And how long would you say the vinyl/film lasts on the car in such extreme heat conditions? 3-5 months? Or 5 months +?

(The application would be for a small portion of a vehicle, approx 4 in x 4 in, not an entire wrap)

Thanks so much!! Any feedback would be appreciated! :)

I had my wrap on for over 2 years with the Fallen Heroes Car and to be honest I probably could have kept it on for another 1-2 years. No issues at all. Just remember though, not all vinyl (and vinyl shops) are equal. You get what you pay for.

http://www.bluemedia.com is the best shop in the Phoenix area, not sure about anything local to you.

Oohh, good to know!
Thank you for your reply!
The vinyl wouldn't be for my car, but I just wanted information on how vinyl handles in the extreme heat.

Thanks again!

Control tac by 3M is a great product. I have wrap numerous of vehicles in the past with the product, and living in the desert, never had one customer come back. I use a over laminate, and it holds its life. I have nothing but good things to say about 3M and the products they release.

Its not like calendar, or cast vinyl film where the vinyl starts to peel overtime.

If you want actually samples, let me know I can shoot some your way,
