Default Ksport Kontrol Coilovers info needed.

I was curious to know how many tC's in here with Ksport Kontrol Coilovers and if there is a DIY around. Cause believe me I have searched and have only found D.I.Y. for xb's. I have also researched and found some negative reviews as well as some good in regards to the coilovers in general in all types of cars. So I was wondering if those peeps with ksport coilovers can post their pictures up and give me your thoughts on them. I just recently purchased a set and am planing to install them myself so I need all the info I can get. I would also like to know what settings you have them on and how low you have them.. Pictures would be greatly appriciated.

Thank you very much and please keep the bashing to a minimum

May we proceed....

ok, well i just recently upgraded from my ksports but let me tell ya' i loved them, the ride and quality was amazing and they sure are great "1st timer" coilover's.

here are some pics of my car with 19's and 17's

i miss my brakes...

first day i installed them on the car...

random shots...

17's

and what i upgraded too

installation is cake... just remember what you did to take off your current suspension and go back words from there... the ksports come with top mounts so is really very simple

hope that helps?

That looks HOT glad to know that you enjoyed them . Love your ride man looks good with them ksports, but I see somebody decided they wanted to go lower How long did you have the ksports on and did you have any problems with them. I appriciate the feedback. Believe me. So the install was easy, did you install them by yourself. How difficult was it to adjust the height and dampening adjustment. Is it a pain to lower it and raise it?

its a piece of cake, you'll learn as you go, if its your first time just take it slow and make sure you have plenty of time to do the install and mess around with them, to adjust them is really very simple, the bottom part that swivels, raise it up to lower the car, and lower them to raise the car, lol. and yes i install everything on my car myself :D

i sold mine for $650 shipped. and i bought them brand new for $750 shipped, not to shabby if you ask me...

and the dampening you use the HEX key on the top mounts and set the dampening level to your liking, i never messed around with them so on the ksports they're really not needed to be messed with, but that was just me

I bought mines for 850 over the summer. I had them installed by the shop I bought it from because I don't like messing with things like that. I have mines bottomed out in the back and still have some room to lower it on the front. My dampening I have set as 5 clicks from soft in the front and 5 clicks from stiff in the back. But yeah I love mines. I want to upgrade to the Tein SSP though.

flintMicaTC,
They are J2 410 mesh rims. The front is et35 and the rear is et45. The reason I wanted to but your 5mm spacers was to bring out the rears to et40.

I paid 100 to install. These are all the pics i have showing the side. These were taken like a week after the install so they haven't fully settled in the pics. Its not too big of a drop so thats why I like them. Crazy pot holes in Portland. And I'm getting a front lip so I don't want to go too low.

Whats the finger gap? Is it even all around? It can go lower right, that not the lowest setting right?

my rear's needed the shorter springs from ksport to go lower, but in my pic, that's the lowest they'll go. as for the front, they can dump close to 3.5" so there's plenty of room to play with, lol and i'm sorry i'm keeping the spacer's, i might need them at the rate i'm getting new wheels every 6 months

I really never measured the gap using my fingers. but maybe 1.5 fingers. Thats the lowest I have on the back but i can still lower it in the front. But yeah its even all around.

mine

its lower now i think i may run outside and take a couple pictures....the hardest part of the install is removing the rear interior....and you can do that in less than 15 minutes
