Question about these products...

http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=4727&catalogId=10102&langId=-1&storeId=10101

and

https://redhat.admarkonline.com/airdynamicracing/shop/product.phtml?p=71&large=1

If I can find a kit like either of these that will fit the xB.. Will these lower the vehicle up to 4" like advertized? Or do I need other items in use WITH these to get that effect?

I guess what I'm trying to ask is.. Can I buy one of these kits and it lower my Scion 4"? ;P

Thanks in advance.

no offense, but those are crap. if you want coilovers, get Tein. They are adjustable to about 3". The Tein ones are actual coilovers too, not a "sleeve over" like the JC Whitney ones. I dont think you can lower a Scion 4".

yah...if they made them for a scion...they would have to work like they say, or it would be false advertising  but....they don't make them for the xb...

So I would be better off just getting some good ol' 2" springs?

it depends on what you want. if you just want to cruise, springs are fine.
if you want to be a corner carver, coil overs are better since they are adjustable.

k then, looks like I'll go with springs... Thanks

Haven't lowered a car since I was 16, and I didn't remember ever seeing coil overs, so I figured I ask :?

Don't doos that. Save your money and get real coilovers.

hehe.. I live in Southern Indiana... Just a little too far ;)

I'm about 95% certain I'll be ordering an interior cathode kit from randode.com in a week though ;)

Chances are you don't need full coilovers...A coilover kit is way better than just a set of springs but you have to make sure they are good quality. Ground Control sells a kit that comes somplete with their own springs(eibach). The only stock part you keep are the struts and it'll work very good since they were designed around them. I have an extra set for a xB if you are interested... Send me a PM if you need any info
