how do i pick tires?
so i just got a set of axis hiros. they are 18.8.5 with a 35mm offset. Now i need to pick out some tires, but all the numbers have me confused. Can someone tell me what size tires i need?
BTW i want cheap tires, and i have no concern for snow traction, as i live in the south and get snow like once every 5 years. i need decent rain traction though, because with my current tires i cant grip in the rain for ____. so maybe someone could reccomend me some tires that would be good for me?

Most people get 225/40/18 tires. If you want something really low pro get 225/35/18 but i warn you, any potholes or railroad tracks will dent the rims. Nice choice in wheels btw, any picks?
If you want to pm i can show you some pics of different tire sizes

225/40/18 means....
225 - Means the tread has a 225mm width
40 - Refers to the sidewall thickness. In this case, the sidewall thickness is equivalent to 40% of the tread width (225mm x 40% = 90mm sidewall thickness, in this scenario.)
18 - Means the tires fit an 18" diameter wheel.

I honestly prefere the Nitto's........they area fairly cheap and area very sticky even in the rain they do well, quite tire unless you are going hard in corners, then they make soem good noise that will trip you out the first time you hear it,but it is normal.
Please do not buy cheap tires.......they never pay off down the road.

hmm nitto seems to be a popular choice.
i can get the nt neogen zr or nt555 for about the same price, both relatively cheap. would i notice any difference between the two on a daily driver?
