Default New Seats?

I looked back quite a few pages and didn't really see anything on this. i was wondering hoe many people have swapped out there front seats for something better? Is there anything i need to know before doing this? Is there anything you can do with the existing sensor in the existing seat? thanks for the help.

There is only a couple of us that have done it.

There is some brackets out there that you can use to mount the seats to. The sensors are inbeded in the seats though.

I have done both front and rear seat swapps. I am running full CF race seats in mine front and rear.

thanks boss! i was going to post a link to it..

as for the sensors, the only senors that can be "transplanted" are the seatbelt sensors. you will lose the weight sensor in the passenger seat which means the reminder panel on the passenger side (above the glove box) will flash sort of like an error code telling you the sensors arent working

and you lose the side air bags so on the dash there will be a airbag light.

hope this puts into consideration when you deside to go new seats

There is no way to take the sensor out of the existing seats? i would even be happy with the sensor always on. at least the air bag would work. i guess i don't fully understand how it works. i thought it was along the line of a light switch, where your weight just pushes the two connectors together. completing the loop. and i was hoping there was a way to remove it from the seat and somehow make it always stay on. guess not...
