Default Premium stereo with subs?

I know that the premium audio have 4 rca outputs on the back. Will it sound if I just hook up the sub directly into the premium audio without amps and stuff?

Long and short, no.

It won't put out enough power to get the subwoofer to move. That's why you need an amplifier. If you have a pre-amplified subwoofer setup, then it'll work.

Otherwise, no.

Headunits don't put out enough power, generally speaking, especially not enough for subs. Some folks use HU to power rear speakers which they use for "fill" and it brings the stage/imaging forward with a good comp set running off an amp.

Aftermarket units are like that too. you need to amp them because stock unit or aftermarket unit doesn't make the power needed for the sub to work. So it isn't lame.

the primuim radio is dressed up to look like a factory radio but it is actualy an aftermarket radion if it were a stock radio you would have to buy a new head unit as well this way you do no, all you need is the amp and the subs...

^^^ I don't think Scion intend to make the premium radio to look factory. It looks aftermarket. Your sentence doesn't make sense since it all runs on and is very incomplete.

Most people think my Premium headunit is aftermarket.

The look of it plus the RCA's indicate to me it was meant to appeal to the crowd that modifies but perhaps wasn't looking to go [i]too[/] nuts on the audio, just add an amp, comp set and some coax's and you're done.

The one that says "W" between the pair. It's the one all the way on the left.
