Does anyone have this combo ? Getting my RS6.0 in about 3 weeks and wanted to know about how low it comes to the ground with the 5 axis kit and the DF120's ? If not what springs are your using that looks good on 18"s ?

if you just want springs and u wanna go low, go with the sprint lowering springs. im pretty sure thatll get you the lowest

Page 4 of this thread has pics with the 5-Axis lip kit on DF210 springs. IIRC, he's planning on changing out his springs because he's tired of scraping his lip kit.

i had DFs with the 5Axis for one day LOL

it will scrape and the sides hang quite low and those will scrape on speed bumps. i didnt have to drive around to know that this is a painful setup. on the side note it looks really good though! here is a pic of me at a show before i swapped out to air. DFs + 5Axis

That's what D_Unit, the guy I spoke about earlier who scrapes, is going with.

You just need to be careful with offset and wheel width, so that you don't end up rubbing. Let me know what wheels you like, and I will help you with offset and tires, so that you end up with something that works without rubbing.

I just had Stylis replace my DFs with NFs today... My wife loves the XB once again. Sadly to say, in the 1 month she's taken over the XB, my cf front lip is falling apart and she curbed one of the rear wheels really badly!!! HAHA. Oh well.

Yo Mike, love how your ride is coming along. Gabe mentioned you had an air runner kit today... nice to finally see some pics of it. Sweet.

Hey CIONIDE, when is Tanabe going to start giving you royalties for all your referrals???

i have 5axis kit and df210's & it'll definately scrape hard, you have to be extra carefull, i already f'd up my front lip and side skirts, gotta take it to a paint shop to get my 5 axis kit repainted

Oh man that sucks, I like the look of DF's Alot but im glad i went with the NF's for sure, Some day i hope to go with a Bomex kit or Five Axis kit and def dont wanna deal with scarping or hurting the kit in anyway.

i'm looking to get the DF springs but i have the 5axis kit. what if i only install the rear springs to get the 2in drop. would this eliminate the scraping?

CIONIDE

If you have OEM springs on the front, then your rear will be lower than the front and look goofy.

ExcelRevs

but i'm thinking it will LOOK even because of the overall body kit making the front look lower than it actually is...isn't the back lower than the front called "cali leanin"

No, it's called "coyote runnin' illegals across the border."

Seriously though, the gap b/w the wheels and rear fenders will be smaller than the fronts. I don't think a lip kit will mask this. Sounds like what you really want is NF front springs and DF rear springs.

hmm..i'll also be running 19" Konig wheels..

CIONIDE
03-19-2009, 06:35 AM
19" wheels won't change the fact that the edge of the fenders would be closer to the wheel lips in the rear.

ExcelRevs

the thing is the front lip already hangs low enough to whereas i scrape in certain driveways. i can't even begin to think of lowering the front. i believe this XB is running the Eibach Pros which give 1.0/1.2in drop and it fills out nicely with the wheels.

I didn't think we were talking about filling out the wheel wells, I thought we were talking about the fact that you're asking about dropping the rear 2" more than the front, as compared to the stock springs which only jack up the rear 1-1/2" more than the front. Imagine dropping the xB above another 3/4" in the rear, and raising the front back up the 1" they are dropped (if they are in fact Pro-Kit springs).

So I guess the better question is, does anyone have pics of an xb with the 5axis lip kit on NF springs?

CIONIDE

D_Unit has the 5 Axis lip kit, and was on DF's, but swapped out to NF's because of scraping. I sent him a PM, so hopefully you will have pics here soon.
