Default new tires this summer?

I cant stand the yokos the tC comes with. I've heard good things about Falken Zieks but I want something thats going to corner well, last long and do okay in the snow.

any suggestions?

I have the Ziex 912's you are talking about and they are not impressive at all. And SUCK in the snow. I have other rims and tires I use for autox and drive my old car in the winter, so it is not that much of an issue, but the Avons I had before these performed much better for the same money (I even autox'd them).

And people should clarify, Potenzas do not suck, the RE-92's suck. The RE01R Potenzas were THE tire to run last year in any street tire class if you autox'd and will be in the top 4 or so this season for the same purpose. I have a shiny new set waiting for this season sitting in my back room (For $352 discount at that!).

Look at the various BFG's out there, as I hear they are making some good all seasons these days. Also, I was very happy with the Avon Tech M550's I mentioned above. Excellent wet traction and did pretty well in the snow for all seasons.

I reccomend the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position, excellent all season tire.

How was the tread wear for the Avon Tech M550s?

Seemed pretty good up front, but I really cant say since I autox'd on them and daily drove them. Obviously, autoxing on all seasons is not optimal, but I only had one set of rims the first season I got about 15,000 miles out of them I think even with all of that abuse. I would probably expect well over 30,000 driven normally.

There are better all seasons out there, but for the price I was pleased with them.

Yeah for the price I think I'm going to give them a shot when the time comes and see how I'll like them. Thanks for the reply.

I really like this tire, I had them on my Evo and it handled great in the dry and wet. Also it has great tire wear.
