Default Throttle Body Problem

ok so last week my car seemed to be losing power as i hit the gas, i had to floor it just to get up to speed even in low gears. About 2 days ago i got in my car to go to school and as i hit the gas nothing happened, the car idled fine but when i tried to rev it, nothing happened. I took it in to metro and they said that it was my throttle body. about $750 later my car runs fine. I have an 05' tC with about 100k miles on it, i was just wondering if ne one else has had a similar problem? thanks

yeah my car idles rough some days and drives sluggish, when i accelerate it seems like something is holding back the power. bogging then it picks up. but Ive been told that its a problem with the TB with 4cyl engine that we and camry share. (toyota tech)

I cleaned the throttle body and used seafoam and 44k. Nothing also cleaned the MAF sensor. nothing worked for me.

sounds like the throttle position sensor on the gas pedal is bad. not sending the throttle body the signal. no check engine light?

so this is a bad throttle body? and still no check engine light?!

did your CEL turn on?

I also have this problem... or somewhat this problem...

But to fix mine all i do is turn off my engine. Gets annoying.

How it happens is if I floor the throttle all the way, as far as i can push it down....

wow you got raped.. i 100% doubt it was your throttle body went bad. it was most likely a sensor that needed to be replaced. that of which are fairly cheap compared to the $750 you paid.
