i have the weapon-r mmw header, and do not have a vented hood, but it is becoming pitted and rusted...just curious if there was a way to restore it back to the clean golden finish without compromising the strength of it...if so what materials or method... please help if ya can

yea buy a new one... I am not an expert by any means, but I believe it would take some hours and money to get it cleaned up. I don't believe you can get it back to its orginal look...

 

i believe its contamination in the metal itself. poor cheap metals. Not cured correctly and causing the blemished areas after a good amount of heat has been added.. that the cleaning proccess of the before the coatings wasn't properly done. That's a good sign that the manufacture or who ever does the coatings was rushed. That's my assumption.
