Is there a six speed tranny available for the Tc? I hate that I sit at 3000-3500rpm at anything over 60mph. Then when your doing 80mph it's even worse of course. As high as 4000-4500rpm. Figured speed, performance, and gas wise this would be something to look into.

 

no. People have tried putting in a taller fifth gear but the price is going to out weigh the benefit. There are tons of threads about this.

Don't think anyone has tried. At least not that I've seen. I'm not sure if there is one that would bolt up or not.

The money you'd spend to get the tranny and have it made to fit the tC would be better spent on the gas you might potentially save.

 

ive felt the same way but its just how our cars are geared and the trannies that came with them.. ive never heard of a 6 speed made for it. but i could be wrong.
