Default Help guys ! Install DEFI gauges pre turbo???

Hey guys im going to do my turbo install this sunday. I was woundering if i connect my boost gauge now to the vaccum block which is connected to the throttle body hose. Will the boost gauge move at all ? I just want to test it to make sure I am connecting it right. Also I have the DEFI controller. Also the lights on my gauges are dim. Can that be that not enough power is going into them. Is that why the gauge is not moving ?

you can do that, it will move but only on the vacuum part. wont break 0 psi.. what do you mean dim? does it light up at all? if not then you may have not wired it right.. not sure what a defi controller do, doesnt it datalog your runs?

To my knowledge (I have the same gauges), and they are "Designed" to work with the controller. So, it might be a bit of a risk trying to hook them up without the controller.

Can I ask a favor, if you have a camera, can you take a pic of the connector on the Boost gauge that connects to the back of the controller? I want to make sure the wires are running correctly on my connectors (they came out when I was taking my dash apart).

I would have to take out my dash to take pics. It's daisy chained all together though.

Defi makes gauges that are not designed to work with a controller. And then there are ones that are.

Ac....what's that? Hhee...j/k. The **** is relocated to the left of the steering wheel. I still haven't hooked it up yet though.
