Default taillight tinting trouble

ok so i went to take off my taillights so i could spray tint them but i got everything disconnected (bumper, bolts and wire harness) and went to pull off the light and couldn't.. the part of the light thats more on the side of the car wouldn't come off. so my question is, is there like, a clip or something that really needs to be yanked on to release the light? or am i missing something?

Just keep pulling, it'll come off.

I pushed it from the inside out, and it came off fine.

yea the whole thing moves (where the 3 screws are) but the side where the reflector is and where the reverse light ends is stuck. i have 08's so the pic is for reference.

There is a circular clip that slides in a slot where the top right corner of the red reflector is. Some tails pop out with no problem, others require a lot of pulling. My friend and I removed his and it literally took both of us pulling straight back at the same time to remove it. Needless to say when we removed it we both fell on our a$$e$.
