Gotta problem...
So about a month ago i noticed that my maintenance light would flash when i turned on my car and stopped when my indash would power up. I checked my oil and im fine.
So yesterday my light stays on. I look at my oil and its on low. But i look on the ground.. Not a single drip of oil. So i check my exhaust. Looks like some oil is seeping out the muffler while the cars on. So while the cars on i put my hand over the exhaust tip to block the air coming out, and the car doesn't stall out.....
Ive come to the conclusion that its an exhaust leak somewhere. I keep forgetting to check for blue smoke when i start my car but i still dont notice anything. I put some more oil in and wasnt even thinking and put a whole quart in lol.
But i think its okay cuse im not extremely over filled. Just a tad that i can see.
So the problem is the maintenance lights still on. What should i do? I still have warranty! But i really dont want them to say oh you need a tune up cuse im tight on cash right now.

no need to worrie this is just letting you know that it is time for a oil change. it will do this every 5,000 miles. around 4500 miles the light will start flashing to let you know that you are getting close. just get or do a oil change and reset the ticker. your owners manual will tell you how to do this.

Okay for me being such a NOOOB maybe you should learn how to READ. My exhaust is LEAKING oil and i think i have a EXHAUST leak. I dont need to change my oil for 1500 more miles and i change it every 3k.

there is no sensor for oil leaks.........
1) Maint Required light comes on EVERY 5000 miles, no matter when you change your oil (unless reset properly which it seems you didn't, not at least the last time you changed it)
2) Where did you see the oil leak? most cases the oil will leak from somewhere else, and follow along the exhaust pipes and eventually drip off (usually at the lowest point)
3) Don't ask for help before searching if possible, you will prevent a lot of headaches.

The what looks like to be oil is coming out of my actual exhaust tip. When i close the exhaust with my hand and prevent any exhaust gasses from coming out the car is suppose to stall. Seeing that it doesnt means i have an exhaust leak. I can kinda hear it but dont know where it is.
Dealer tech here not to try and bash but why by a car with an excellent warranty but not use it for its purposes? If your tight on cash then i have no clue what to tell you..... if you want to fix the problem and get the worry off your mind take it to the dealer and let them do there job and fix it. Other than that your either A going to continue to have an exhaust leak and blow a small amount of oil or B your going to fix this problem so it wont continue and possibly even further any damage.
before cranking the car press the trip meter button and hold and it will count down....that will reset the maintain light. it will reappear in 5k miles though, i wouldnt be worried about that light, i'd be worried about the oil that is seeping through the muffler
this thread still fails...how can you have actually oil coming out of your exhaust while the car is on? the oil would have to getin your cylinder, somehow not get burned up, get pushed through your exhaust valves, into the exhaust manifold, into the s-pipe, climb up and over the s-pipe and all the way out to the back of the tailpipe. are you sure it is oil coming out the tailpipe and not just condensation or water forming from moisture in the air?
as for the tc burning oil, i've seen a few threads, like maybe 3 about burning oil, and usually it isn't covered because it is a normal amount.
so start out by keeping track of your mileage and how much oil you are adding.
