I'm going to be buying a Scion and the dealer shows an optional theft deterrent device called propack on the car for $299. I'm going to try and argue it off, but anyone know about this?

Sounds like just an add-on security system of some sort as a dealer-only option. You could probably get a nicer one for a better price after the sale.

X2.. Its aftermarket... We offer one here but not preinstalled on the vehicle.
