Default Need some help (Wheel Guru's perhaps?)

I was looking at a new set of wheels for my new set up the offset all around is 33 on a 17x8.5 wheel, I have no idea what kind of set up that will be like...will it be flush at all or will I have some funky weird set up?

Also:

How safe are redrilled wheels? I was looking at redrilling a set from 5x114.3 to 5x100 but I wanted to know how safe the process was and what is required to purchase (adapters or something of the sorts, if anything)

Senk you for ze help :D

Ehh...you need 18's. 17'' RS's won't look good.

not enough dish for my tastes given the price and effort to have them redrilled. i'd rather get a 17x8 et25 that have more dish.

drilling RS' is safe. my friend runs redrilled 5x130 porsche BBS RS wheels on his 5x100 VW. all depends on the back on the wheel to determine how safe it is to drill

x2 on all this.. as long as the rear of the center of the wheel is a full block with no cuts, groves, or tapered hub and its all solid u can do it safely with a 5x114.3 wheel...

but for 1000-1150k bucks i can find a better set with with a 1.5 to 2" lip that will look alot nicer then that no lip one ur looking at. (those have a 1" lip cuz i talk to Nes about those while back)

also at that +33 range its gonna be about the same as ur current setup.. only 2mm more out... not really a huge difference in 2mm...

i saw a tc on RS's a while back on the vwvortex at one of those "meet" threads.. it look aight.. but definitely with an RS 18 or a fat lip is required...

u can always try to flip your LM but i dunno what the paint will be on the inside of the plate.. and if you scratch the paint there goes your resale value. because the f1 gold is not easy to match. chances are the glue on bottom of the face has already bonded with the paint on the barrel.... so ju es kinda fubared there..

polished lm reversed lips FTW lulzzzz invisible smily here =p

I was looking at selling mine and getting those RS's a while ago. But you'd have to be dumped on coils to really pull 'em off, and I gots no coilovers
