Using non-matching rim widths
Hello, I just bought an xA with two sets of wheels. One set of 17's and the stock wheels. I took off the 17s to sell them and put back on the stock wheels. One of them makes an awful noise at about 30 mph and up. So I took it to a shop and they said the wheel was bent. (I'm sort of wondering if it's just that the cheap starfire tire is bad as the wheel looks brand new). I have access several Scion xB rims for $11 a piece and wanted to know if I still used the same tire size if using one 15x6" wheel among 3 other 15 x 5.5" wheels while staying with the same tire size is going to matter? I know I could buy an xA wheel but this will cost me about $60 and then it could be bent as well. I don't like needlessly spending money. Thanks for your help!

Can't do it
I figured out my own answer: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...jsp?techid=198
I didn't realize tires adapt to differing widths when you pump them up, duh. Oh well I guess I have to bite the bullet for the 5.5"......
