So, I go to Michael's Auto Body (135 Hallock Ave, Port Jefferson Station), to get an estimate to get my car fixed. As some of you know, on my passenger side rear door I have clear coat peeling from ____ty body work done somewhere else.

I had brought the car there once before when I got rear ended, just for an estimate. I had the work done at a place in Port Jeff called Patrick's (Which now won't call me back with a price for my splash guard, so I'm not going to them either.)

The guy looked at the car, says "Didn't I write this up once before?"
I said "Yeah, when I got rear ended."
He says "So why don't you bring the car back to the shop you had that done at?"
I'm astonished at that point that this guy is deciding to be such a dick. he grabs the owner to ask him what he'd like to do.
Owner says "Why are you bringing the car to me? You had your last job done some place else. bring it to them"
I'm floored by this, just staring at them, holding back losing my ____ and screaming at them for being rude _______s.
The estimate guy says "listen, my job is to write estimates so I can get some work. I'm not gonna waste my time if you're just gonna bring it someplace else."
Then he walked away.

When I got rear ended, I had it done some place else cause it wasn't my decision. It was the decision of the insurance company. I pointed this out to him, but he didn't seem to care.

I laughed, got in my car, and drove home.
