Dismantling of Front Bumper and Replacing Hinges?
I need some help guys, my scion's front bumper is misaligned and I want to manually reinstall it but I have no idea where to start.. is there a place to find instructions or anything? and i also want to switch out the lambo hinges with the regular hinges, is there a way I can find out how to do that too?
THE FRONT BUMPER ==
there are about 10 bolts under the front of the bumper and 2 or 3 bolts along each wheel well. you can take these off and you have to pull the bumper like up and towards you, away from the car.
click on the link below for my horn install. in my 1st post, i mention someone that pulled their bumper. they had better instructions. it's not so bad though. im going to say it's maybe 12-14 bolts total.
oh yeha, and obviously you have to pull the grill off first.

that's the link i was talking about. you're just going to need a socket set. nothing too crazy. i believe all the bolts are the same size.
go to that link and read the part related to taking off the front bumper. that's all i used.

np playa. as the link says, you need a 10mm socket. this car is so easy to take apart, it's not even funny.
my rear bumper is a little off. im going to realign that this summer sometime...

the door hinges are easy, you just need the oem hinges, a 10 or 12mm socket, and thats about it really
kinda of a pain to re-alighn, but if you get a buddy to help hold the door while you make adjustments it will be much easier then then doing it yourself..

yes, remove the fenders and bumper up front-i dont believe you have to remove the wheel wells. (easy requires socket only) and remove the side skirts (the clips are a pain in the A, but not difficult) can do it in a day if you take your time and go slow with a buddy. Also, you can if you want shorten the wires that run into the doors, since they would have had to have been extended to allow for the lambo hinges extended range of travel, but this is optional i assume..
the bumper / fender / skirt removal should take you about an hour if you have never done it before. once the bumper is pulled out of the way, you will see the additional body mount bolts for the fenders.

on one of the other forus (can't remeber which) there was a diy lambo door hinge install, if you are able to find it, you can just reverse all the steps.
I am not sure, but you may be able to install the old hinges while the lambo hinge is installed that way you can get closer to perfect alighment. I haven't seen the hinge installed in person but i have heard that you can do that with some lambo kits..

oh.. thats interesting.. actually if i can just keep the door on the lambo hinge and install the hinges on the side of the car, then somehow just switch out the hinges i might b able to do it without taking the door off.. thats a good point, thanks
