Default Ipod Touch Charging?

So I have a classic ipod right now and it works fine in my `06 xb with the ipod upgrade but I am looking into getting a ipod touch. I tried my friends in my box and it plays fine but it will not charge, anyone figure out why it wont charge? And if you have what did you do to make it charge?

All current generation and future generation iPods can no longer charge via firewire (12v like your car).

The iPod classic 80 / 160 gb and iPod Touch (1st generation) are the last ipod models that will work in your car without another part.

What you need is a part made by Scoche

Griffin also makes one. It's a few bucks cheaper than the schoshe.
