Default SPC Camber Bolts Installed... Finally.

I swear these things have been sitting on my desk at home for over 6 months. I FINALLY got around to doing the install today. Basically just haven't had the tools to do it.

I don't really have a DIY at this point but I do plan on adjusting them in the next day or two... so if anyone is interested, I can easily whip one up with some pictures. They were actually pretty easy to install when you have the right equipment. Just earlier this week I ended up buying a Gorilla wrench (which helped a LOT) a cordless impact gun (didn't have batteries charged ) and a decent torque wrench. I really need to get a place with a garage...

Anyway, back to the bolts... I tried to just set them to the max negative camber, which I believe is supposed to be -1.75 degrees. I don't know exactly what the camber was originally set at though. I'm going to try to measure tomorrow and do some math and figure out what it actually is right now - but like I said, going to check each side again in the next day or two.

There is definitely a noticeable difference in steering. Unfortunately I won't be able to test it on the autox course for another two weeks. I can't imagine they'll help that much but a couple tenths here or there certainly can't hurt.

Pardon my ignorance, but where do you install camber bolts?

So the spindle/hub bolts to the strut with two bolts... this replaces the upper of the two bolts. And I've read that you can also put another one in the lower bolt for even more adjustability.

Gotcha. So if you did the lower one as well does that mean you could dial in -3.5* if you wanted?

Here you go:

http://www.spcperformance.com/PROD_D...d2=81290&cmd3=

I believe that would be the case... but the SPC site says "up to 1.75 deg" so I don't know if that's actually what I'm at right now or not. But yes, theoretically I believe a set on the bottom could give you twice whatever the maximum would be.

i believe the adjustments they claim are in addition to what you can dial in with the factory adjustments. so you can get 1.75 more negative than you could before

How far can you go with the factory bits?

Ya, I guess I was implying that but didn't really think about it. So ya, up to 1.75 deg + OEM adjustment.

I may even take it in for a front alignment now and just tell them to dial up maybe 2 deg or so just to be sure it's correct. My steering wheel is a tiny bit off to the right at the moment... or at least feels like it is. And that should really fix that if I can't see anything when I check them out this week.

Will see what I can do for pics. Will try tonight if I get the chance. Also expecting parts to come in for the g/f's xD, so we'll see which I do first.
