Its a 4 cylinder with after market rods, shouldn't matter. Just make sure you intall the piston/rod assemblies with the "front" marking on the pistons to the front.

They are nuts. There shouldnt be any off-set in the rods. If you cant do it yourself just tell them to hang them all the same, either way you'll be fine. You will probably need to knotch the block to clear the rods.

k1's are supposed to be made so you dont need to notch the block...other rods however are a different story.

Right on. I didn't know that. I have never used a set of k-1 rods.

I've never used aftermarket rods, I know OEM rods are usually numbered w/an arrow because they're line bored. call K-1 and ask them

I place both rods side to side (OEM and aftermarket) while the OEM rod has the OEM piston installed. Since the OEM piston is marked where it faces the front of the engine then you compare to what side the bearing keys face on the OEM rod (eihter I/M or E/M) and install the aftermarket rod the same way!

I don't remember where they faced but I always install them same as OEM!
K1 rods don't need the block to be notched. Pauters do require the block to be notched!

Mostly I have been working with my own car (Sentra with SR20DE-T). Other than that I have been breaking and fixing Scion engines and Transmissions from time to time

Recently finished installing the prototype Competition Clutch Twin disc clutch setup and TRD LSD on ScionGT35R's car.

Not at all! Remember to order the install kit with all the bearings, etc...
