I wondered if anyone that's tuned on a 2step (be it WOT Box, Ultimate, or Standalone), ever paid attention to what their Wideband was reading during the 2step engagement? What A/F ratio is it reading during the 2step, also if you are pulling timing during the 2step, do you know how much.

I'm trying to get my Ultimate tweaked to be safe to run the 2step at 4k rpms.


Also, if you have the 2step setup on the Ultimate, what number are you using for the V.S. Pulse that detects when the car is moving so it will cancel the 2step. I have it set to 4 which is what I recall it suppose to be for the tC.

 

should be same afrs as you boost afr on you map but depends on how you tune it, i will log my 2 step again when i get a change and see the difference in ignition

 

Ok, right now my map is zero'ed out (no tune yet), so it's what the factory ECU is. I'm going to have to do a map trace and find out what cell the 2step falls into, and then richen it up. I think right now it's super lean when it engages (since the wideband goes "-----" when I hit the 2step).

oh yeah i forgot you na for now.. maybe a good target for you would be 12.6-13, i dont know how the ultimate manages 2 step but check if you are not removing too much fuel from your base fuel

 

Yeah N/A blows! But have to take a step back to take 2 steps forward. I'm going to play around with it today.

So, your Wideband still reads the A/F ratio even during the 2step? And doesn't go "----"?

 

yeah its shouldnt read as lean as that.. i think it would stall if you launch on very lean afr since there is not enough power to get the car running.. when i had some messed up values on my antilag map my afrs are like 15s and it barely builds boost

 

Yep, you got it. Tried a launch at 3500rpm's and it just feel on it's face and stalled. Didn't shut off, but it booged all the way down to that point.

i run mine very rich at two step! alot of ____ going on there so i make it around 10.5-11.00 afr

i set two step around 5k this has proven to be perfect launch spot for my car..

5k rpm would cause me to go no where....LOL. I don't have slicks yet bro, but when I do, I'll have it set to something that high.

Yeah 2Step retards the timing AND floods the engine with fuel. These 2 factors SKY-ROCKET the EGTs, which in turn helps the turbocharger spool incredibly fast.

Yeah, I mean I have Drag radials so I'm not terribly off. But yeah, the 2step is also going to serve a purpose for the smuck who wants to rev on me or something at a stop light. Just tap it a little and then smile back.

 

trust me.. it works veryy well! Mine sounds like a 357 mag going off! people usually dont try after i hit the 2 step!

 

Time Attack is priority #1. BUT.....I drag and AutoX while waiting for the Time Attack events to get here. I have to fill that itch to race something. So, the 1/8th mile track is closest thing, and its opened every weekend. Auto X is every other weekend, and Time Attack days are about a month apart. I can't wait that damn long to smash the gas. So, got to do something....

And yeah, if you got it, and your a racer....who the hell wouldn't set it up, even if it was just for the cool factor.....lol.
