06 Xa auto stock clicking when shifting
Strange problem on my wifes Xa, Im hoping its as simple as some spilled soda but wanted to get some thoughts.
No problems when shifting from Park to Drive, when you shift back, there is a clicking noise like something is catching, maybe a little resistance but not much.
Sound familiar to anyone? If it is just gummy parts from a spilled soda, how can I get the plastic off around the shifter to clean it up?

not really much to go on. it is a gear selector, there might be something stuck in there that is making a noise, but such a vague symptom can't really lend itself to a good diagnosis.
you could try shifting it all the way down to low gear, seeing if there is anything on the shifter cover that comes up, or pulling out the entire shifter coupling to find something.
