Default ECT Relays?

Hi guys,

I need to trigger a relay when I put my automatic transmission in '3' mode (i.e., turn overdrive off..)

The first thing that comes to mind is rigging up some leads to the '3' light on the dashboard but that involves a lot of tearing the dash apart and soldering some very small wires

Does anyone know how I can do this? Is there a switch in the gear shift? Maybe I can just tap into that?

Mike

p.s. if anyones curious, i have a dry nitrous kit running in my tC and I want to change from those nasty looking aftermarket switches to a hidden switch (i.e., turning overdrive off ARMS the nitrous system and then pressing the mode button on the steering wheel ENGAGES the solenoid relay ;D) i think it should be pretty sick when its done and will post videos here laterrr

pz and thx
