Fan Relays... 1,2,3?
Hey guys,
Does anyone know the relays under the hood?
I am diagnosing a cooling system problem. What I found so far....
Testing cooling fan function:
turn ign to on, unplug temp sensor and fan should turn on. CHECK
Reconnect and start car. Fan should turn on at 181 deg. FAIL
I didn't get the fans until 203 deg. This concerns me because the HIGH temp fan actuation is supposed to happen at 208.
So now I want to test and or replace relays if needed but there are 3 "fan" relays. I don't know the specific function of each of the numbered relays. Which one do I test for low temp / high temp / and I assume, one is triggered by the AC.
The fans both turn on when AC is on.
I have been having an intermittent raise of temps on my gauge, and I don't want to blow it up.
THANKS
