Default VRD Fogs

So, at some point last fall one of my fogs was hit by a stone and it put a small hole in it, which water then got into and the bulb went out.

I know the easy way to test to see if the fog still works is to put in another bulb, but I don't know what is in there. Any help?

They were the stock bulbs that I received with the fogs, nothing special just yellow bulbs. What are the stock bulbs for the VRD fogs?

Thanks. And yes I searched, I just found information on HID setups.

Mmmm I don't think H3 is correct. The bulbs that are in there now are round ... kind of like this:

You definitely don't have real VRD fog lights then... Where did you get them from? That looks like a regular turn signal bulb... and thats obviously not an h3 bulb... Which everyone knows that already.

They are real, I have had them for a year and a bit now, I purchased them from a user here with a set of sway bars. Came with VRD instructions and box.

that's a 7440 or 7441 bulb, the real VRD's come with the H3 bulbs. but if you want buy the same round bulb and try it out.

Yeah, no I know what H3's are ... that's why I said I don't think it is them. I am going to be taking the fogs out and fixing the one of the left ... I will take a look so but I definitely do not remember them being H3's.

Thanks again.

Well then ... someone went out of their way to make it look like they were real (box and instructions).

Oh well ... I am going to fix the one light and get some HIDs in there.

Well one of my VRD lights broke as well. I ordered it straight from the company with the VRD grills and they had H3 bulbs in it. Maybe they changed the bulb style? I really find that hard to believe though. If you take a picture or two of the housings we may be able to tell you something about them.

This is an H3 bulb:

The bulb you posted is a turn signal bulb that costs 50 cents. I don't know how in the world those were in a set of VRD fogs.

Yea you defiantly need to look at what the bulb actually is because the VRDs use H3. Even those "JDM" fog lights on ebay use H3 bulbs.

OK, I finally had a chance to rip out the fog light and take a peak see, and it is an H3. I am not under the assumption the original selling was giving me the round bulbs for my turn signals for free!

Anyways, I am going to have to repair the fog light, it has a small hole in the front and the ground screw in the bag broke off so I will need to figure something out there.

I want to open up the fog light, do you think it is safe to put it in the oven? I want to loosen the glue.

Thanks guys. Off to pick up some H3s be back soon.

Why wouldn't they? Make sure that you get the thicker stuff (they have sheets here - http://www.stickercity.com/headlight...n-bulk-sheets/) and just cut it to fit.

Flint_08- yeah you can put them in the oven, just take off the rubber boot and remove the bulb firsst. I don't know if you will be able to get them apart thougn.
