Default OEM brake pads

How long are the OEM pads good for ? 30K ?

Also are TRD pads decent ? I don't race or anything, just a daily driver.

Ya, I made it to about 60k before I proactively changed them (to better pads) and there was still a LOT of life left in the OEM ones... and that was on almost 2 yrs of autox.

My front pads wore out at 33k and dealership was kind enough to top off my brake fluid and not tell me ... I also had a drivers rear brake caliper sieze up on me at about 37k miles and the dealer wanted to charge me 400+tax just for the part . Aftermarket ftw.

I wouldn't say that the tC brakes suck but you do have to press the pedal down farther than other cars to stop the car. I ended up buying Axis ultimate pads and they made a BIG difference in the intial bite. I wouldn't go back to OEM pads.

My fronts lasted to 63k while rears lasted up to 125k

TRD pads suck for the price. I already pressing the pedal down to the floor @145k. Then on the other hand, I am driving on slotted-drilled rotors which some people stated they usually give pads a shorter life span.

I tried getting Axis' pads but the part stores were out of stock. I heard Duralast (Auto Zone pads) are pretty good and they come with a "Lifetime Guarantee" which means you worn them down; walk into Auto Zone with the olds and walk out with new ones.

i have axxis ultimates and they do bite harder on my slotted rotors but the brake dust is unbearable at times. My front rims get covered and its takes a fair amount of time to make them look halfway decent when i wash my car.

im already looking for replacements since i cant stand the dust no more.
