Angry Problem with 2008 XD Release Series 1.0 Razo Shift ****

I just purchased a new 2008 XD Release Series 1.0 that was supposed to come with the RAZO Release Series Shift ****, but instead it came with the regular leather ****. I asked the parts center at the Mall of Georgia Dealership where I bought it and they said that Toyota had stopped sales of that part due to it being defective, but they didnt know what that meant.

Has anyone heard of this and do you have any suggestions on how I can get the shifter **** that I paid for (it's on the invoice)?

Thanks alot...

well...if it was discontinued, then your only chances are to really find somebody selling a used one.

anyway, is the xd's shifter regularly leather? it probably isn't standard leather. the standard shift **** is probably rubber, and they replaced the razo shift **** with a TRD Shift ****, which is leather.

anyway, you could try asking another dealership to check the part number and see if it is really discontinued, or call scion corporate.

but seriously, it is just a shift ****. is it really ruining the whole experience with your car? if so, why not try this one: http://www.trdsparks.com/displaypart...&parts_id=1979

defective my ___, they just dont feel like ordering a new one. Try contacting one of the many RS1 owners on here, I know a few of them use other aftermarket *****.

And the RS1.0 Razo **** is aluminum. No problems, just a few scratches from my ring.

SUCKS for you that your dealership has a theft problem and is too lazy to do the research and order you a new one. **** is almost a hundred bucks and has to be ordered with your vin#......

As to the other posts, the shift **** for the RS 1 is aluminum, not leather or anything else. They SHOULD have gotten that shift **** with the car and they don't have it, make them order you a new one or give you something of equal value. Don't take the dealers BS because they're lazy.

If they refuse to either get you the proper shift **** or replace it with something similar, get the dealer to give you Scion Corp's number and call Scion Corp. on the spot. The dealer usually will respond to that before you start dialing

I work for a dealership and I can tell you right now someone stole the one that goes with the car they replaced it with that because it is a HUGE pain in the ___ to get RS parts.

You need to send vin numbers to confirm its a RS an even then toyota will fight the dealer about needing to order a part. If you get into an accident an need the lip kit OMFG what a hassel
