Can't Allign Rear Wheel!!!
So... I cant allign my car at all, the guy said I need an "Adjustable Rear Left Control Arm" for my Scion tc 06... AND its not the one from the SPC (Special Parts Company) the one that looks like a boomerang... Heres the link

I dont want that one because its Fixed, I need an adjustable one. The reason I cant allign is because its been in an accident and the only way to get my car back up properly, I need an adjustable for the scion tc 06.
Can anyone help me out with this please? I just got new tires and I dont want the mess the treadings on my Dizzera tires.
Here is a scan of the allignment report...

IF it will still adjust the other way, have him wiggle as much negative in the front as he can get (probably about -0.5 degrees to maybe -0.75 without different bolts) and match it in the rear. It will handle better and you will not have any issues with tire wear. I run -1.75 degrees in front and -1.25 in the rear. A few tenths will not hurt a thing, although I would rather it be negative than positive.. which is what yours is. He cant get it any more negative in the rear? It must be REALLY bent. I can get up to -2.0 degrees on mine with stock parts on a trd drop. No telling how much I could get now that I am a bit lower on the ss-p's. One note though is that when I had it re-alligned after the ss-p install he had a hell of a time getting the rear to adjust as far as he wanted. A little back and forth with the eccentric and it finally broke free and he was able to adjust it.
This guy tried all his might to allign it, he cant do the left rear wheel, everything else is ok except that one.... He said I need to buy a adjustable rear left control arm so he can tweak around and mess with it to allign it properly, the thing is that big-o-tires is supplied by SPC (Special Parts Company) and they dont have an adjustable control arm, Only a fixed one. I'm just wondering if you guys know a good company that makes reliable ones, and possibly that don't sell them in a pair, because I only need the left side. Any help or finds online will help me greatly, because right now im just searching blind folded online, and I dont want to take a chance to buy the wrong part, thats why I was going to print out the site you guys show me and see if he can work with this part.
^^ sounds like the guy didn't try very hard to loosen the adjusting cam on the rear for that side of the car. It has a locknut that loosens, then you adjust the camber via a cam. I bet all you need is a little penetrating oil to loosen it up to go the other way.
The car has been in an accident on the rear left quarter panel, so thats basically why its like this. I will bring up that statement to him just to make sure he did that. Other then that he just needs an adjustable left control arm, I see some online, but I dont even know what else people would usually use this for, it will fix my problem because the car hasn't been restored properly and the only way to get the chamber back to 0 is by purchasing an adjustable left control arm. Any suggestions on products would be highly appreciated.
you have frame damage then, and what you need is a GOOD BODY SHOP TO STRAIGHTEN THE FRAME! You should have mentioned this in your first message. Here we thought that the mechanic wasn't doing their job. Not cool to leave that out!
^^ but i never insisted it was a body-on-frame design. Of course it's unibody, all Japanese cars are unibody designs and have been for decades, as far as I know. But yes good to be clear it's a UNIBODY design, which requires a UNIBODY jig to align/fix it at a body shop
i cant allign my rear-right. even the guy told me the rears arnt adjustable and i need to buy a aftermarket camber kit. im on htechs with TRD struts and i brought it to my local toyota dealer and they couldnt adjust it. im like 0.1 off. anyone think ill be fine?
I took mine in to Toyota for the TRD spring alignment and they still have a little camber but the tire wear isn't bad because I rotate them regularly. They are all wearing even. Then again, I have 400 treadwear tires so they don't exactly wear out fast lol.
The rears are adjustable. The guy was wrong ;) Now, the amount of adjustment may be the question. We could set my rears, on the drop I have now, anywhere from 0 (didnt try going positive obviously) to at least -1.5. probably had more, but I was only dialing in -1.25 so I didnt try to go any further.
The rears are adjustable its just that the damage prevented him from alligning it properly, i was thinking of a quick fix because this car is for sale, im not keeping it, im not going to reallign the body or anything, i just need a website showing me that exact part im looking for. Thanks for all your help btw.
I mentioned it was in a accident
