Whats up Tony? I remember me and Philip were going to talk about getting this together but I've been so busy with work. If anyone wants to help out I will go ask a local dealership for a beginning point and a dealership to where we can end it out.

Main St. is out here in Ventura. It's 10 minutes passed Oxnard.

I think that going up Hwy 1 from Santa Monica to Oxnard would be more fun of a drive. I don't think that there are as many stop lights going that way either. If drivers just cruised and didn't just take off from others, I think it would be better.

I'm down as long as a route doesn't have 1000 stop lights. Taking Santa Monica Blvd from one end to the other one is an EPIC FAIL. :flame: :icon_redface:

Driving up PCH would be awesome, Hollywood was a great host but traffic turned into clusterph*k.

Since it was such a problem getting from Scion of Hollywood to the PCH, then why don't we meet up at one of the big parking lots near the pier? Then get on the PCH from there and head north. We could make a stop at that resturant that was in The Fast and the Furious movie (sorry, can't remember the name of it, lol) or just keep going up the coast to Oxnard.

How about this:

We start at Scion of Hollywood (mini meet)
Drive up the 101
End of Scion of Ventura (bbq? meet?)

Now here are the changes that I think might help. Instead of everyone trying to leave together, lets break the large group into smaller more manageable groups. That way we dont have a large cluster of cars clogging traffic. Groups of 20 should be fine if not smaller. Groups will leave in 10 minutes intervals. We will pass out written routes for all drivers, that way if they get lost, they can find their way.

Suggestions for dates please.

That sounds like a good Idea. Scion of Hollywood is what a hjalf a block away from the 101? last time we tried taking santa monica(bad idea) but I think leaving at 10 minute intervals would be cool.

I say we aim towards the end of September because that gives us enough time to get the word out and pump this up. I have to talk to DCH Scion of Oxnard and see whats the best day for them also because Im in with them better then I am with Ventura Scion.

Hey everyone. So the idea Danny & I had was to cruise all together starting from scion of Oxnard and going to Santa Maria Toy/Scion. I think for people that live in Ventura County and having to just drive to Oxnard Toyota would be too short of a distance to cruise with the rest of the counties. We dont have to end at Santa Maria Scion. We can always end it somewhere else for a photo shoot and lunch or something. Maybe we can get Santa Maria Scion to put a little something together for us. We know its a long drive for some people, but Hollywood has too much traffic for everyone to stay together. If everyone wants to meet up in that area and then cruise to Oxnard to meet up with us, that would be cool. We could set up a meet time at Oxnard Scion. Danny and I will talk more about it.

As long as we do this at the end of the month I'm in. My car is having body work done at the moment and I won't get it back intel then or so I'm being told.

Philip told me that he called Santa Maria and the person he was supposed to talk to wasnt in so he left a voicemail. I need to get an exact date or just still with Sept. 26th before I in and talk to Oxnard. I dont know whos in charge of Hollywood Toyota.

That is exactly what happened to the TC Cruise. It was planned for months and then a couple of weeks before, the TC Drift Event pops up out of nowhere.

hey everyone its josh from Illuscions i've been out of the scene due to being in Spain for the military. I am SO SO down for another cruise the first one was amazing. if at all possible we should do it in Oct or LATE LATE Sept so i will be home for it. well get back at me. peace.

I threw out Scion of Hollywood as a possible meet spot but I don't think I
ever saw everyone agree on it. Scion of Santa Monica was also an Idea thrown out by someone else.

Lets get to finalizing so the Dealers (Santa Monica or Hollywood) can start getting ready.

we can always add in Oxnard or Santa Maria for the final destination.

Also, one thing learned from the last cruise, we have to try to not dilly dally around the starting meet spot for too long cuz then people get hungry and have to use the restroom and we end up losing a bunch of people at the midway point.

just something to think about.

If there will be a show at Santa Maria, with at stop at Oxnard. Will Oxnard want to put in music food and beverages if we are only gonna hang out for a while and then take off to Santa Maria?

We also don't want to keep Santa Maria waiting all day for us. The TC Cruise ended at a Dealer in San Diego and I was told by one of our members that when they pulled in, the DJ was packing up ready to go home. this is why I suggested 2 cruises, 1 from the south and one from the north meeting at Oxnard.

At the XB Cruise, more than half of the XBs called it a day at the midway point in Cypress and did not continue on to Carlsbad.

The first XB Cruise was in January. We(SK) weren't really planning on setting up another one and if we do it will be next January.

However, if someone sets this one up, of course we're down to cruise!

Santa Maria is our home dealership. I'll call Carl. I know of all kinds of places we could end up at as well. We ended at the Chumash Casino for our pride drive. Only prob with that is if you are under 18 or bringing the kids it will be a hassle to get in.

That's not much of a cruise for me considering I'm in simi valley and oxnard is about 20 minutes from me. That's why the Ventura people are pushing the cruise to end in Santa Maria so that we too can join in on the cruise.

So we got ideas put together on this thread and what Im going to do is try to get stuff situated so this could be BIG!!!! I will start a new thread with all the info when we get it all.

Also the people who have contact with Hollywood Scion can you send me your info so I can keep contact with you so we can get stuff situated and have everything on the same page.

i thought the last 1 was pretty organized, just someone didn't follow the directions that was given on paper and went the wrong way...and obviously since it's a line everyone followed. I was in the cruise, even though we took a slight detour lol i had a lot of fun and it was worth it. We believe we had about 95 xb's.

i'm down 4 another 1, we gotta keep the tradition! so far there has been an xb cruise every year :)
