Default Any suggestions???? for painting plastic

So this weekend I am going to strip some plastic pieces in my box and going to paint them green (same color as the rs 3.0 that is what I have) I was just curious if anyone had any suggestions or comments they would like to share with their experiences or anything :D. Thank you!

make sure you clean the peices to be painted.

i didnt at first and i have small bumps and uneven paint marks.

also, sand if possible, prime afterwards.

I've recently been using Duplicolor Fabric and Vinyl paint for my interior plastic pieces.
Seems to hold up pretty well.

Of course I clear coated afterwards.

i painted all my interior peices Gunmetal grey, but without clearcoat. To make up for the lack and no protection of clearcoat, i put 3 heavy coats of paint.

the FLAT look without clearcoat looks good on only a few colors, like Gunmetal Grey

you should clean the pieces using a wax & grease remover solvent, you can find at paintscratch.com... or you could get by using soap and water, just make sure the peices are throughly dry before you start spraying... and be sure to scuff the area using 600-1000 grit sand paper... my best advice is to be patient and cover using several thin coats rather than 2 thick ones.

use a good adheasion promoter for plastic parts - clear primer, that will ensure the paint sticks properly and makes a good bond to plastic.
