Default RS 6.0 A-Pillars: To Peel or Not to Peel

That is the question.

I'm undecided on whether or not to peel the black vinyl off the A-pillars on my RS 6.0. I love the beautiful absolutely red paint paint. So, part of me wants to peel the A-pillars to let even more red show, but I also like the clean, unified look with the whole mi-section of the car being black and glass.

So, what say you? Peel them, or let them be?

If anyone has peeled the A-pillars on their RS 6.0, please post your "after" photos to help me decide.

I dont know why but I feel like peeling your pillars would be a bad idea. Dont do it..Im pretty sure you will eventually regret it..its there for a reason.

Thanks for the replys. It looks like public opinion is currently running 3:1 in favor of peeling them.

I've added a poll to this thread for anyone who would care to vote on this issue.

I like the look with the tape left on. I think it gives the RS6 a more sporty/lower look with the tape on. On the Darker colors like the blackberry or Black, I like the tape peeled. JMO

True, it's there for a reason, but the reason is nothing more than a styling choice on the part of Scion that included all factory colors. Ultimately, it's just one more mod option, and I have to admit, it appears to look pretty decent with the red "A" pillar peeled. Still, the burden of choice is with the owner, no-one else.

OP! If you like it, go for it, otherwise, leave it be!

Check my car, I did it and love it ! Comes off easy. Use a hair dryer or leave it in the sun for awhile and it peals off pretty easy. Be patient though.

I actually like it both ways. So, there really is no "wrong answer". I just thought I'd call on the collective wisdom of the group to see what others, who have owned their xBs longer than I have, thought.

This is such an easy (and free) mod, I may leave it for now and keep this as something do to when I've finished my other planned mods and have grown bored and just want to try a new look.

That sounds very reasonable. It's a whole lot easier to peel it, than to back up after it's done. Not something to be done in a hurry -- at least IMO !

Probably the best looking RS6 I've seen, I really need a 5axis kit!

The A-pillar tape on this color looks much better peeled. I just did mine.

LOL ok I was reading this thread and I was like why would you really want to peel it...must be there for a reason like mentioned... but last night I got mad bored and went into the garage caught sight of my heat gun and as you would know I peeled it off.... and to be honest I really like it better without it.... its gives the stingray metallic a better stream line with out any black on it... also removed the pinstripes it came with and I really like the one solid color flow...looks real clean.... so I say do it do it do it...lol

Thanks. I just put Oznium Inferno underglow and it looks really sick now at night when I put all red lights. I also got flexible Oznium lights in the engine bay. Looks all red like the devil at night. I post some pictures when I get a chance.
