Im looking to do my very first oil change on my 2006 tc.
I have all the parts and tools but just want to make sure im not missing any steps.
Is there such a "how to" or "diy" guide on oil changes on the tc.
Iv searched but with no luck.
Thanks.

Dont think there is but you can use any diy from the internet. It is basically the same thing.

drain oil, replace oil filter, replace oil...
dispose used oil and oil filter properly.
seriously... you couldn't figure that out?

No, i had it figured out.
Just looking to for tips like lubing the gasket and filling the filter with oil prior to screwing the new filter on. (just read on the forum somewhere btw)
Also wanted to know if the tc had a "plate" that covers the fillter and drain hole like the xb does.
But yeah, for being such a douche !!

It's quite easy...
The filter way up in while being uncovered. You jack up the car; you'll see it with ease.
I personally dip my index finger into new oil and go around the gasket.
Make sure to screw by hand or its going to be a b!tch to take off the next oil change.
Also, do it when the engine has been driven around the block. Cold oil WILL take hours to drain.
Make sure to write down the mileage.

Come to Wisconsin next week, I'll show you how to do it. I've done more oil changes on my tC than a Toyota tech! Seems like the car rather have me do it!

This car is stupid simple for anything related to maintenance. This is by far the easiest oil change you could ever do. Prime the filter if you want. I've never seen a car explode because they never primed the filter with oil when changing lol. Do put oil on the rubber ring, it will keep it from sticking to the block. Do it on warm motor but not too hot. Get a magnetic drain plug next time. They're like 7 bucks online. Can never be too safe. Feel free to do a DIY for the website.
don't forget to change the gasket on the drain plug thats a must also...
