View Full Version : what intake is this?? daewonder 02-03-2005, 09:03 AM http://www.scionlife.com/gallery/data/500/12233scion-4.jpg thanks. smurf3642 02-03-2005, 05:54 PM First glance, looks like the WeaponR... But, not their style...Looks like a custom job...I haven't seen any production models that look like that... eddie66_1 02-03-2005, 06:00 PM could be the Injen or AEM BlkSandPrlTurbotC 02-03-2005, 07:32 PM Where did u find this pic RoryC 02-03-2005, 08:16 PM looks like the stage 2 http://suzukird1.netfirms.com/scion-tc-performance/nfoscomm/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=9&products_id=7&osCsid=601d4f72e7a869f7edab36abef3855da In my opion, I will wait for a V2 AEM Short Ram. Very Simular to the weapon r short ram, but with a nice cotton filter, and the unbeatible AEM name. BlkSandPrlTurbotC 02-03-2005, 08:41 PM Yeah it has a lot of similarities. I'll have to go "all - in" and agree with you on this! acasanova 02-04-2005, 12:40 AM looks like the stage 2 http://suzukird1.netfirms.com/scion-tc-performance/nfoscomm/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=9&products_id=7&osCsid=601d4f72e7a869f7edab36abef3855da In my opion, I will wait for a V2 AEM Short Ram. Very Simular to the weapon r short ram, but with a nice cotton filter, and the unbeatible AEM name. i would love the AEM V2 but how do you know they are going to make it for the scion TC. After all the only have the V2 for a handful of cars.. daewonder 02-04-2005, 02:48 AM found it in the members gallery. any thoughts on this?? http://suzukird.com/scion-tc-performance/nfoscomm/catalog/Dyno_charts/2_air_intake.jpg looks like a nice gain.. acasanova 02-04-2005, 02:21 PM Those look like some nice gains. Better than WR and i know for a fact those dynos are real they were done here in Opa Locka Miami area. Im just waiting for big companies to start shipping their products i need a short ram intake preferebaly plastic. Kamikazi 02-04-2005, 07:06 PM Here is my intake, dont know what it gains, havent had a chance to dyno it yet. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/phoenixR34/MVC-003F.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v245/phoenixR34/MVC-004F.jpg acasanova 02-04-2005, 07:35 PM nice looking intake get it dynoed. Is it the same as the one up top? Kamikazi 02-04-2005, 07:45 PM No, i made this intake from scratch. MAF meter housing off of a different vehicle - free, misc. intake piping parts from Versus Motorsports - $23, hose clamps - free, OBX-R filter - $15 and some machining that I did myself to get my MAF to fit in the different housing. Total spent was $38 VS. $250 for the WR or whatever else brands are now being sold. And that AEM which is a joke at like $300. KINGxOFxSKA 02-04-2005, 09:11 PM how does it sound? Kamikazi 02-04-2005, 09:12 PM It sounds really nice, it's deep and growly, but it did magnify the whine/whistle sound. |
