How far out was the alignment after installing just TRD springs? Or was it not bad enough to notice?

View Full Version : xb TRD spring install question... LiquidXB 02-04-2005, 01:42 AM How far out was the alignment after installing just TRD springs? Or was it not bad enough to notice? 02-04-2005, 02:09 AM not really, the TRDs don't lower the car a lot, so you shouldn't notice a big difference. LiquidXB 02-04-2005, 02:41 AM Cool thanks alot... :relief: scion619 02-04-2005, 03:10 AM I was thinking of maybe putting trd lowering springs on my ride. Just curious to see if anyone got pics of xb's on 18" rims with trd springs? thanks scion619 BrianxB 02-04-2005, 02:12 PM I was thinking of maybe putting trd lowering springs on my ride. Cockpit_XB 02-04-2005, 03:30 PM TRD springs dont lower your car that much, any where from 1.0 - 1.5, it all depends on how low you want to go though, i have some on my car w/ 18's on there, but im rolling on a 35 series tire. I should have gone 40 series & the tire would have been flushed w/ the bottom of the fender. When i take new pics ill post them for you. squarepants 02-04-2005, 04:15 PM i was going to get the trd springs but the drop don't even look like a drop you won't have any problems with alignment with trd, however i did go with the goldlines nice drop just what i was looking for only thing is i think the back could of been a lil higher like a 1/4 inch the drop was 2'' all around and i had to get alignment on the front and the rear... Saucy_A 02-04-2005, 04:40 PM I picked up my car on Tuesday with springs and shocks, and the alignment guy went home before they were done. Got my alignment done three days later and there's no noticeable difference. I wouldn't have driven it for a few days had it been outta whack. TRD springs and shocks really are the way to go imo, they ride smoothly and the drop is nice... I saw my car next to an xb on stocks today and it had a much nicer stance without being ridiculously low on michigan roads. THE_DON 02-04-2005, 04:45 PM TRD springs w/ 40 series tires... Perfect! -THE DON scion619 02-05-2005, 07:18 PM TRD springs w/ 40 series tires... Perfect! -THE DON Hey Don I was thinking the same combo myself I got 18" but haven't got tires yet I already made up my mind, going with 215/40's. Goldlines at first was my choice but now I made up my mind and im going with TRD's. I use my car as a daily driver and I want to make it a comfortable ride as possible especially with my kid an all. Not to mention san diego is the 4th worst city in the country with the worst roads. Dam those potholes seem to get worst out here every year. lates scion619 JStead 02-10-2005, 08:29 PM So 40 seris will work ok with a TRD setup ? I want to confirm before I order them. Thanks LiquidXB 02-10-2005, 10:19 PM Well i got the 215/45-17 and it looks perfect no rubbing... squareone 02-10-2005, 10:35 PM I love the TRD springs, I've had cars in the past with a much more dramatic drop, only to get frustrated with the high maintanence of them. It gives the car a clean look. I myself am going with 16's with 215/50/r16 tires. (Got tired of an obnoxious ride with bigger wheels) BrianxB 02-11-2005, 02:03 AM I ditched mine for air ride. TRD isnt low enough at all. squareone 02-11-2005, 03:13 AM All depends on your taste. I wouldnt destroy my car with air ride, but thats just me.
