Centric Posi Quiet Ceramics...

MAN I love these brakes! Put them on about 10k ago and probably will stick with them forever (if they keep making them). They are ceramic, so there is basically NO dust. Before, my wheels would be black in 2-3 days. Now, they look clean after 3-4 WEEKS. And the performance? Well let's just say my Falken 912's can not keep up with the brake force as they will jitter/skip a little when you slam the brakes (such as for break in).

Just make sure you get the right rear pads... I ordered from automotive warehouse or whatever and I got another set of front pads centric makes. They did not carry the rear's. I emailed Centric directly and they forwarded me to another company who carried it directly. Great customer service.

So yeah, thats my vote. I love them so much!

Oh, BTW, if anybody wants some lightly used TRD front pads (less then 6-7k miles on them) I will send them to you for cheap... Just pay for shipping (flat rate box) and add $5-$10 and they are yours. Not bad for $15-$20, versus $75 new... PM if interested.

I sell these at my job. They aren't a bad quality pad. I haven't heard anything bad about them. I just think they are considered a "house" brand pad. I would recommend the Akebono ceramic brake pads before these though. They only run I believe $5 more than these.

what people paint are the calipers. They house and allow the pads to be pressed against the rotors to make the brakes work. I'm on my phone right now, but maybe if you google "how disc brakes work" you'll find what you're looking for.

CLUELESS

:p

pads are what stops the car

disc is what is accepting the pad when the pad is applied to stop the car

the thing that is painted is the caliper: holds the pad and houses a hydraulic piston that causes the pad to touch the disc when the brake is applied thereby stopping you

not a professional explanation but i think it gets the point across :D
